For any golfing enthusiast a chance to play here cannot be missed. With breathtaking views from virtually anywhere on the course it is an absolute pleasure to play here even when a gentle sea breeze rises and hitting those immaculate greens becomes even more difficult. At the end of the round you can take in the 180 degree views of the Pacific Ocean including Cape Brett and the Cavalli Islands from any one of a number of verandahs, lounge, card and dining rooms at the lodge while enjoying any of the wide variety of refreshments on offer.

For those of you wishing to stay a little closer to Matapouri, Whangarei has a number of fantastic courses including Northland and Whangarei. Both are very scenic courses surrounded by mature trees. Even closer still is a 9 hole links course just over the hill at Ngunguru - ideal for teaching the kids!
